Challenge:

Identify real world societal processes amenable to modeling; develop models and algorithms that when applied to the real world answer real world questions; and learn from failures and success of modeling applications.

This challenge was presented to one of the working groups of the Military Operations Research Society (MORS) workshop entitled "Analyzing the Impact of Emerging Societies on National Security" that was held at the Argonne National Laboratory, 14-18 April 2008.

Accomplishments:

Working Group 3 produced a report of its results. The opening presentation set the stage by discussing the state of DIME/PMESII modeling. The final presentation covered VV&A of DIME/PMESII models.
