Topic: Sensitivity Analysis

Dr. Dean S. Hartley III

Sensitivity analysis in its simplest form is the analysis of the variation of an output variable to changes in the values of an input variable.  This applies to both physical systems and to models of those systems.  In its more complex forms, the variation of an output variable is analyzed as the result of the variation of several input variables.  When applied to models of systems, sensitivity analysis is part of verification and validation.
